READ MORE NEWS ON: Manchester United, Ryan Giggs
Recently-appointed Wales manager Gary Speed believes the Football Association of Wales should begin grooming Manchester United’s Ryan Giggs for the job.
Speed filled the vacancy left by John Toshack (after Brian Flynn was caretaker for two matches), and the former Sheffield United boss feels Giggs would be the perfect replacement for when his time in charge of the Dragons is up.
“I spoke to Ryan and he doesn't know what his future plans are yet,” Speed said.
“I'm not sure he'll be coming back to play but if we can get Ryan on board and involved with the infrastructure in any way it would be great.
“If I move on or go elsewhere then somewhere along the line, then if Ryan is already involved, he might be the perfect one. We need good up-and-coming Welsh managers to go and take the reins.”
