Beckham's four-week training spell at Tottenham Hotspur began on Monday morning when he arrived at the club's training ground.
Meanwhile New York Red Bulls striker Henry has begun a training stint with his former club Arsenal in order to keep fit during the Major League Soccer off-season.
The pair are two of the biggest names ever to have graced the Premier League having made a combined total of 519 appearances.
Henry is Arsenal's all-time leading goalscorer having netted 174 times in 254 Premier League matches and manager Arsene Wenger is happy to let the Frenchman work out with the Gunners.
Beckham scored 62 times in 265 appearances for Manchester United and will train with Spurs who still hope to negotiate a deal to enable the former England captain to play in the Barclays Premier League.
STARTED NEGOTIATIONS
The Los Angeles Galaxy star reported to the club's training facility in Chigwell, Essex, on Monday to meet with the club's medical staff and undergo a fitness check as he looks to keep himself in shape during the Major League Soccer close season.
Beckham will train with his new team-mates for the first time on Tuesday and his time at the club is due to end on 10th February when he will return to Los Angeles.
Spurs started negotiations with the MLS side last week over a two-month loan deal but the north London club announced that Beckham would only come to train with the club, rather than play.
Galaxy are said to be wary of their 35-year-old prize asset becoming injured during any loan spell, as Beckham did during his spell at AC Milan last year when he tore his Achilles.
However Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp is still keen to see Beckham play in a Spurs shirt and negotiations about a loan deal are ongoing.
Beckham has not played for an English club since he turned out for Manchester United on the final day of the 2002/03 season.
Beckham emerged from the medical in a light blue Tottenham tracksuit and will return to Chigwell on Tuesday to train with the Spurs first-team squad, who take on Beckham's former club Manchester United on Sunday.
FITNESS EXERCISE
While Spurs still hope to arrange a deal to enable Beckham to play for them, Henry's return to Arsenal is purely a fitness exercise.
Henry remains a favourite with Gunners fans after scoring a total of 226 goals in a highly successful spell with the club between 1999 and 2007.
The 33-year-old left Arsenal to join Barcelona in the summer of 2007 before signing for New York Red Bulls in July 2010.
A statement on Arsenal's official website read: "Thierry Henry is back at Arsenal.
"The Gunners legend returned to London Colney on Monday to train with Arsene Wenger's squad. The short-term arrangement will help Henry maintain his fitness ahead of the new MLS campaign, which begins in March.
"Henry joined the New York Red Bulls last year and helped them reach the play-offs, where they lost on aggregate to San Jose Earthquakes in November."
