Following in his fathers footsteps playing professional football, Michael played for the Liverpool Youth team before he was elevated to the senior squad. After An impressive 8 years Michael made the move to one of the biggest clubs in the world Real Madrid. This was a short spell which saw him leave after a year to Newcastle United. Newcastle were then relegated which then saw the move of Michael to Manchester United where he currently plays.
